When you exercise, your muscles expand and stretching them allows them to return to their natural size safely. 90 minutes of gruelling football will take a lot out of your body and that's why it is so important to replenish all the nutrients and energy that you've lost. Ice Baths, foam rolling, gym work are all important in facilitating recovery and preparing the body for the next game.
